Pride is one important way we support our members and our communities. As a union, we’ve developed and successfully negotiated collective agreement language on many equality fronts. Let’s celebrate our union’s strong history, including being one of the first unions to bargain protection and advance equality for the LGBTQ community.
This year, we will also be putting a focus on the government cutbacks that are pushing equality issues onto the back-burner. That austerity is driving a privatization push, and when services like Hydro One are privatized, equity-seeking groups are the hardest hit.
